There are few venues in North Yorkshire that offer the breathtaking history and atmosphere of the Merchant Adventurers' Hall in York. With its stunning timber-framed architecture dating back to the 14th century, it’s a truly unique space to celebrate a milestone. Recently, C.A.A. Entertainment had the absolute pleasure of providing the evening soundtrack and entertainment for Polly and Marcus's incredible celebration.
Setting the Scene
When you're working in a venue with such rich character, the setup has to complement the room. We brought in our premium DJ booth alongside subtle, wireless uplighting to highlight those incredible ancient oak beams without overpowering the room's natural charm.
To give the guests something extra, we also set up our Oak Selfie Pod. The wood finish of the pod is always a massive hit in rustic, historic venues like this one, blending right in while giving guests an interactive way to capture the night.
The Soundtrack to the Night
Polly and Marcus wanted a night full of energy, and their guests did not disappoint.
After kicking off the evening with their beautiful first dance to No Greater Love, Amy Winehouse, it was time to turn things up. The brief was all about keeping the dancefloor moving, so we delivered a signature open-format set. We layered in everything from timeless floor-fillers to classic 90s vocal house anthems—dropping tracks by the likes of Michael Gray and Purple Disco Machine to keep the energy peaking right up until the final song of the night.
A huge thank you to Polly and Marcus for trusting C.A.A. Entertainment with their evening. It was an unforgettable night in the heart of York!
