An Unforgettable Autumn Celebration at the Durham Ox

There’s something truly special about an October wedding in North Yorkshire, and last night’s celebration at the historic Durham Ox in Crayke was no exception. It was an absolute pleasure to provide the evening soundtrack and lighting for the happy couple in such a fantastic, intimate setting.

Setting the Scene

The Durham Ox has a brilliantly cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. For this setup, the goal was to complement the venue's traditional charm without overwhelming the space. The RCF EVOX system delivered crisp, punchy audio perfectly tailored to the room, while the SoundSwitch-programmed lighting—featuring the moving heads and wireless uplighting—really brought the dancefloor to life as the sun went down.

The Soundtrack

The energy on the dancefloor was electric. We moved through a fantastic open-format mix, blending classic wedding anthems with some superb 90s vocal house and throwback indie anthems that kept the guests on their feet all night. Seeing the crowd react to those big transitions and getting completely lost in the music is exactly why I love what I do.
